La Quinta Condo with Fairway and Mountain Views!

La Quinta condo
with incredible fairway and mountain views is now back on the market!

I sold this La Quinta condo a few months ago as a short-sale, and the new owners have found a larger home in our La Quinta Country Club neighborhood.

This charming condo in La Quinta has  one of the best locations in the development. Situated on a quiet interior cul-de-sac behind the gates of La Quinta Country Club, it faces north across the 17th and 11th fairways. It is located right next to a sparkling community pool, just a short distance from the patio.la quinta condo

You are welcomed to the condo through a desert land-scaped front courtyard.

The spacious Master Suite has vaulted ceilings, plenty of closet space, and a slider to the patio. The guest bedroom opens to the front courtyard, and the 3rd bedroom can be used as an office or bedroom. This end-unit with incredible views is in excellent condition with numerous recent upgrades.

I do not represent the seller and am seeking buyers for this great La Quinta condo!

THE NEST in Indian Wells… Legendary!

The Nest in Indian Wells

Legendary Hot Spot, New Contemporary Dining

The word at The Nest is: “Dodi’s Back!” now as owner with husband Kevin of one of Indian Wells’ best known eateries and bars since 1965. Tall, beautiful European-born Dodi Henry began as a hostess, a position she held for 18 years. In 2003, she was lured away to Arnold Palmer’s as manager for seven years, where she and musician husband Kevin provided their many talents to that restaurant.

The Nest is known as a great place to get out and mix it up… have some fun, dance, meet someone… Heck, I even met my husband at The Nest!  Not kidding.  We met Arnold Palmer, Peter Jacobsen, Junior Seau, and hooked up with Paul Azinger several years in a row there!

Former Nest owner Ted Hane had dreamed that Dodi would be back at The Nest with Kevin taking care of all their customers. Through many serendipitous events, Ted’s dream came true. Kevin and Dodi have just celebrated their first anniversary back at The Nest.

“A younger clientele has responded to the new menu and look of the restaurant,” says Dodi. “There is something for everyone at The Nest. Our menu still offers many classic favorites and new contemporary items. “We wanted to keep its legendary status but freshen the look and update the food,” says Executive Chef JC Valadez. “We’ve added Dodi’s mom’s traditional dishes.” “Customers have been coming for the food and then staying for the fun!” The Nest now has a popular $6 bar menu available all night Sundays and Mondays and 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Tim Burleson, at the piano for 19 years, has been an important part of the restaurant’s success. His high-energy style draws celebrities and local talented musicians to join him. Tim and Kevin have revived the energy of The Nest. Kevin and Dodi’s son Nicholas joins dad and plays sax on Sundays. Longtime employees like Rosalie Griffo, a cocktail server for 26 years, and Eddie Zachary, a bartender for 35 years, are still here to serve you. Dinner 5-11 p.m., bar 4:30 p.m. to midnight. Live entertainment nightly.

Al Geiberger New Ambassador for La Quinta Resort & PGA West

The desert area is golf-centric and has it’s share of golf personalities and celebrites… many professional players make this their west coast home.  The gorgeous winter weather, over 100 amazing golf courses, dry desert air, the incredible backdrop of the SantaRosa mountains are just a few reasons why the pros love to live in the desert.

According to todays Desert Sun, Al Geiberger, a long-time desert resident and the first player to shoot 59 in a PGA Tour event, has reached an agreement with La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West to be the resort’s official golf ambassador.

Along with his sons Bryan and Allen, Jr., Al Geiberger will be involved in special programs and speaking engagements for La Quinta Resort groups, resort guests and PGA West club members.

“We are honored to have Al, who is better known as ‘Mr. 59,’ join our team of professionals,” said Mike Kelly, executive director of PGA West. “He and his sons have formed one of the most talented golf teaching teams in the industry today, and they will certainly enhance our resort’s growing reputation as a world-class golf destination.”

Best known for his 59 in the second round of the 1977 Danny Thomas St. Jude Classic in Memphis, Tenn., Geiberger spent five decades on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. He won the 1966 PGA Championship, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship and received the 1980 Ben Hogan Award. His career includes being a two-time runner-up in the U.S. Open and a two-time Ryder Cup Team member.

The Hideaway Market Report in La Quinta Jan-July 2011

The Hideaway Market Report in La Quinta

The prices at The Hideaway have come down– and the inventory has as well.  But this is probably more a factor of the homes/listings that have been taken off the market during our off-season– summer.

This season– Nov- April, should be a good one for sales at The Hideaway– the prices are competitive with other upscale country clubs, and these are newer homes. The culture at The Hideaway is younger and more energetic than many of the clubs here in the desert.  The members are active, healthy, athletic, and like to have a good time!

I have played in their “Wildflower Invitational” the last few years with my partner Deby Anderson, and we have brought home the trophy, while enjoying a playing a great golf course and an incredible event!

For a tour of The Hideaway, or for a private showing of properties at The Hideaway– give me a call!

La Quinta…America’s Ultimate Golf Destination

When the Robb Report named La Quinta “America’s ultimate golfing destination,” the City was thrust into the international spotlight being recognized as the true golf mecca that it is. Robb Report’s editors selected La Quinta from an extensive list of cities because of the seemingly endless options for passionate golfers.

“Host City” for the Bob Hope Classic, La Quinta has been called “the golf capital of the world” with a variety of spectacular courses open to the public. The course offers 7,578 challenging yards of golf, sprawling over 200 acres with massive native bunkers and stunning water features set against the backdrop and natural beauty of the Santa Rosa Mountains.
